Hey everyone. I'm sure all have had some success and I'm sure some have felt discouraged at times. However, regardless of where your at or how you started you can finish strong! Tuesday is our 30 day mark but I want everyone to start to look at the bigger picture. This 30 day challenge is only a marker, a check point, a destination point but it doesn't signal the end of your quest for better health and fitness. Some of you just got on this road to health and fitness and started to navigate it... don't get off now... keep moving forward. Envision yourselves in the future. How do you want to look and feel by April for example. Do you picture yourself a little stronger, a little more committed, and yes a few pounds lighter. Do you see yourself with more energy, being more positive, or even entering your first 5K or 10k run? Does it excite you to think that your health and fitness could improve enough that your risk for diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and ultimately pre-mature death can be drastically reduced or eliminated ! What motivates you! If pursuing good health for yourself isn't enough motivation then think of those around you. Think of your family and especially children and grandchildren. Children often do not dream any bigger than their parents. They can be a product of their environment , so you show them you can accomplish good health because it is important to you. Rise above any reservations, rise above the distractions, rise above the obstacles. Dream something big in regards to your health and let's celebrate the positives along the way. Good health is a journey and not necessarily a destination. Don't stop now.
We'll see you on Tuesday and watch for info in your emails. - Dr. Darren
