Hey everyone! 1/2 way of your 30 day or 15 days into our challenge and I hope everyone is on board. This Family day holiday I was able to go to the ski hill with my twin girls and have a daddy - daughter day. We had a great time and they sure loved the attention they got from dad. I am no accomplished skier by any stretch of the imagination but but I am still mobile ,active and healthy.
Whether it is skiing or any other activity I plan on staying as active and healthy as long as possible and some day in the future take grand kids skiing too. Yikes! As far off as it may seem life has a funny way of passing us by at warp speed. Lifestyle habits that are detrimental to our health accumulate quickly and soon we are middle to senior age with health issues that change who we are. We ask ourselves " How did this happen?". Nobody wakes up one day and all of a sudden has heart disease , high blood pressure , or diabetes. These conditions are almost always the results of decades of un-healthy daily decisions. The opposite is true too. Nobody wakes up one day and is suddenly transformed healthy and fit. It is a process and involves daily healthy decisions! Think to yourself why you want to lose weight or change your eating and exercise habits. Can you really look beyond the 30 day goal and envision yourself in the future. What do you want to do and what do you want to keep on doing? If you have no time for your health now, then you will have no health for your time in the future. It is never to late to start. I know you can do it!
By the way, I really do want to hear some positive things that others are experiencing. So, to BOOST your efforts, I am giving the first 10 participants of our 30 day challenge who comment on our blog a *GIFT CARD FOR A BOOSTER JUICE. Comments are timed and dated so I'll be able to tell the order when they are posted. You have to register with our site first too before you can comment. Make sure you fill everything in that is applicable to you in the register process. We view your comments and approve them first before they appear on the blog. This process helps to avoid random or solicitous comments from trollers, spammers etc. Good Luck and carry on! - Dr. Darren
